Make: Electronics by Charles Platt – A comprehensive hands-on introduction to everything electronics. The only thing I’ve ever read that made me want to lick a battery. Great for kids and adults alike. Level: Beginner

Codecademy.com – A series of online interactive tutorials to learn the basics of several programming languages. Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Khan Academy’s CS Lessons – A fun online programming tool with interactive video lessons. Great for kids! Level: Beginner
CoderDojo NYC – Free programming classes in NYC for kids ages 7-17! For those of you not in the NYC area, check to see if there’s a CoderDojo near you!
